The Alpha Course

Coming to St John's This Autumn

Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions. It is open to everyone and is designed primarily for people who aren't churchgoers.

Most courses attract a diverse range of guests of different ages and backgrounds, holding many different viewpoints and guests attend for a wide variety of reasons - some want to investigate whether God exists; others are concerned about what happens after death. Some people have particular questions that they would like to discuss; others want to understand other peoples' beliefs or would like to explore what the purpose of life is. Many guests have never been to church, others may have attended church occasionally but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith.

VENUE: Church House, Old Church Lane, Stanmore.
DATES: Thursday evenings at 7.30pm: 16th September – the "taster evening" come and see if it is for you. Then, the 23rd and 30th September; 7th, 14th and 21st October; 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th November; 2nd and 9th December (Celebratory Supper to finish with). Also one day away - Saturday 23rd October.
